GIRLS BASKETBALL: Bigfork defense paves way for blowout win at Troy

TROY — Bigfork jumped out to a 12-0 lead and never looked back in thumping Troy, 56-17, in a District 7B matchup.

Lana Berg led the way for Bigfork with stellar effort, scoring 21 points and pulling down 16 rebounds. Miranda Campbell was just as impressive with her 17 points and 10 rebounds.

The Trojans did not score in the first quarter and trailed 31-4 at halftime.

Mattison McAnally added eight points for the Vals in the win, with Haile Norred and Jaime Berg each chipping in five more.

Allie Brown led Troy with six points.
