The Vikings of Bigfork plundered Troy Friday night, handing the Trojans a 49-point defeat, 89-40.

The Trojans were shorthanded during the game, with standout Sean Opland out due to illness and other players out due to ineligibility. Troy head coach Jerry Mee credited Bigfork’s aggressive play, calling them the best team in the league.

“The hardwood was hard on us this week,” he said. “Bigfork shot lights out and their inside game was hard for us to defend. They are the best team in the league and they showed it Friday.”

Mason Chapel led Troy with 12 points. Dillon Savage and Adam Tallmadge added 11 points and nine points, respectively.
