Judge orders rider in child porn case

SANDPOINT — Jurisdiction was retained Wednesday for a Kootenai man who pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography, 1st District Court records show.

That means Lance Robert Pearson will spend up to a year in prison before a decision is made to release him onto probation or imprison him for up to seven years.

Pearson, 29, apologized for his conduct, asked for the court’s mercy and noted that he cooperated with law enforcement, according to court records.
