If you haven’t heard, my wife Eileen and I are going to host another fishing trip this spring, and this time we are going Loreto, on the Baja, Mexico. I have yearned to fish the Sea of Cortez for years. I even flew down to Loreto a couple of years ago and checked out the guide services, lodging, the town and the fishing, of course.

We are scheduled to leave on May 6th, and the fishing for a variety of species is excellent at that time. Those who come along can expect to catch lots of yellowtail tuna, roosterfish, amberjack, wahoo and more. I have booked us into the finest hotel within walking distance of the marina, where we depart each day that we fish.

There are other activities available in Loreto, and I have added lots of free time so people can enjoy them. The town of Loreto has been a fishing destination for decades and is one of the cleanest towns I have ever visited in Mexico.

If you would like to get away for some fishing and fun in the sun in early May, just go to my web site at FishingMagician.com and click on the Travel Page at the bottom left of the Home Page. Here you will find the dates and costs. You can also just call Sandy at Journey Tours and she will have even more details.

Mild weather sets stage for more fishing

We've had a lot of wet but actually pretty mild weather in the region. Anglers that like to chase steelhead have had good conditions for it.
