CWAC all-league teams announced

Four local boys basketball players were named to the Central Washington Athletic Conference all-league second team recently.
Ephrata’s Collin Ahmann and Bailey Evenson, Quincy’s Johan Farias and Othello’s Trenton Cutforth made the second team.
Ahmann and Evenson helped Ephrata reach the district playoffs. Farias and Cutforth led scrappy Quincy and Othello teams.
Also, Ephrata’s Cameron Clark was honorable mention.
Selah’s Tim Garza was Coach of the Year and Ellensburg’s Coleman Sparling was the Player of the Year.
East Valley received the sportsmanship award.
On the girls’ side, one local player made the first team: Ephrata’s Harley Vanatta.
Vanatta helped Ephrata to a first-round district win over Wapato. Ephrata travels to East Valley (Spokane) Saturday with a regional berth on the line.
Fellow Tigers Katie Hilliard and Madi Youngers were second team and honorable mention, respectively.
Othello’s Diamond Franco and Quincy’s Elizabeth Nielson were honorable mention. Quincy also receive the sportsmanship award.
Ellensburg’s Kassidy Malcolm was the Player of the Year and East Valley’s Robi Raab was the Coach of the Year.
