Bigfork joins Montana Special Olympics

Special Olympics athletes from across the state have converged on Whitefish for the annual Montana Winter Special Olympics.

Olympians took part in a parade up Central Avenue in Whitefish on Sunday afternoon.

The parade was part of the opening ceremony that included teams from across the state as well as cars and trucks driven by local first responders.

Special Olympics athletes engaged in competition Monday at Whitefish Mountain Resort and Grouse Mountain. The games wrap up today with more competition and awards ceremonies.
