The Flathead Avalanche Center is hosting a women’s avalanche awareness class Tuesday night at Rocky Mountain Outfitter in Kalispell.

The free one-hour presentation is for women only and begins at 6:30 p.m.

It’s a great way to refresh your avalanche knowledge or can be an engaging introduction for newcomers to avalanche safety.

The class includes general information about avalanche hazards, how to avoid them and proper equipment for traveling in avalanche-prone terrain.

For more information, contact Rocky Mountain Outfitter at (406) 752-2446.
