The Trojans of Troy had difficulty finding points in Saturday’s contest against Thompson Falls, and as a result fell to their visiting foes, 55-31.

Head coach Jerry Mee said the team’s struggles from the field were the primary cause of the defeat.

“We were 11 for 48 from the field,” Mee said. “Needless to say, we could not hit our butt with both hands. Our poor shooting was due partly because of Thompson Falls’ defense and we just missed shots we are going to need to make. Thompson Falls has a good team and we are going to need to work the next few weeks to be ready to play them again. Our defense was good and we rebounded the ball OK, we just could not buy a basket.”

Adam Tallmadge led the Trojans with 10 points. Sean Opland, Mason Chapel and Kolton Winebark each added five for Troy.

The Trojans’ next contest is at Bigfork Friday night, before they return home Saturday to face Ronan.
