Flights canceled after plane slides off runway in Spokane

A United Airlines 737 destined for Denver slid off an icy runway at Spokane Airport around 6 this morning.
No injuries have been reported, and passengers have been evacuated from the plane and returned to the terminal.
Airport officials closed the airport temporarily as they took steps to ensure braking conditions were adequate. Many flights were canceled or redirected.
The airport was re-opened for flight operations at 8:45 a.m.
