THOMPSON FALLS – The Bluehawks claimed a 24-point victory against the Troy Trojans during their Saturday away game.

The team leapt ahead right from the start, more than quadrupling Troy’s score in the first quarter. Their strong play continued into the second; while the Trojans improved and started to play a harder game, the Thompson Falls players were able to keep their lead and expand it. The first half closed with a score of 29-15.

The second half saw the Trojans start to come back, pushing hard against the Thompson Falls defenders; it was not enough, though, and the Bluehawks kept pulling ahead. In the final quarter, the Thompson Falls team maintained their lead but the Trojans kept close, almost matching their scores; the Bluehawks players focused more of their efforts on preventing the Troy players from pulling back into a threatening score.

The final score was 55-31 to the Bluehawks.

Travis Hoisington led the Thompson Falls advance, gaining 21 points; Tanner Lewis came in as the second highest scorer, bringing in 14 points.
