MOSES LAKE — Several area school districts, including the Moses Lake School District (MLSD), elected to operate on a two-hour late start schedule Wednesday due to icy road conditions.

The Othello School District and the Wahluke School District closed altogether Wednesday.

In addition to the MLSD, the Quincy, Royal, and Warden school districts each ran on a two-hour start, as did the Moses Lake Christian Academy.

In Moses Lake, all elementary schools were slated for an 11 a.m. start, with middle schools to start at 10 a.m. and Moses Lake High School to start at 9:45 a.m. High school students were to start the day with their first-period class. The first session at Columbia Basin Technical Skills Center (CB Tech) was canceled. Morning pre-school was also canceled districtwide in the MLSD and no breakfast was served Wednesday morning.
