Bigfork’s “twin towers,” Miranda Campbell and Lana Berg combined for 35 points Friday night, outscoring the Lady Trojans by 10 points themselves in the Valkyries’ 49-25 drubbing of Troy.

The Lady Trojans were short-handed, with their powerhouse sophomores Kaitlyn Downey and Allie Coldwell out for much of the game. Downey didn’t play in the first quarter due to illness, but made it out onto the court in the second quarter and put up nine points in the game for the Lady Trojans. Coldwell, Troy’s leading scorer on the season, went down in the first quarter on a fast-break layup and was helped off the court favoring a wounded knee. She returned after halftime, but was limping noticeably and sat out the final stanza. She was scoreless in the game.

Aurora Becquart added eight points for the Lady Trojans, but the girls were just overpowered by the Vals.
