The Lady Loggers went on the road to Columbia Falls Friday evening and took a beating at the hands of the Wildkats, losing 68-28.

The ‘Kats started strong and never let off the pressure, outpacing the Lady Loggers 22-6 in the first quarter. Adding another 20 to their score, while holding Libby to just five in the second quarter, the ‘Kats took a 42-11 lead into the locker room at the half.

The Lady Loggers played a bit better in the second half, scoring 17 and holding the Wildkats to 26, but just couldn’t keep up with the girls of Columbia Falls.

“Obviously, Columbia Falls is a very good basketball team,” said head coach Jim May. “They are tall, fast and deep. We did make things a little too easy for them at times, though.”
