Murray to retire as Lakeland school superintendent

Lakeland Joint School District Superintendent Brad Murray announced he will retire at the end of the current school year.

Murray has worked in education for 36 years, including 26 at Lakeland.

Murray's previous positions included being the assistant superintendent at Lakeland, the director/principal of the former Riverbend Professional Technical Academy in Post Falls and athletic director at Lakeland High.

Murray helped create the Prairie Pig spirit game with Post Falls, the Hard Hats, Hammers and Hot Dogs event exposing high school students to industries and The Resort Academy based at The Coeur d'Alene Resort.
