Polson 16
Columbia Falls 62

At Columbia Falls, the tall task before the visiting Lady Pirates got tangled up by the limbs of towering trees among an undefeated WildKat lineup. In a game that favors inches, Kat players within proximity of the six foot range or better almost tripled the tally of Pirate point productivity. Polson had hoped to make some fur fly during this foray rather than face fast felines flowing freely up and down the court. Consequently, the Lady Pirates suffered an acute allergic reaction to a basketball bout of cat scratch fever against a team that one radio commentator was convinced could contend among the collegiate ranks of the NAIA.
Nichole Lake and Lauren Lefthand combined for 11 points. Polson (0-2, 1-5) seeks to regroup as it travels to the Bitterroot to face the SWA Lady Yellowjackets of Stevensville on Thursday, January 14, then host the back end of a doubleheader against the visiting 7B Libby Lady Loggers on Saturday, January 16.
