Three of us headed to the Davenport and chased quail on Wednesday. Bill Green and Bill Witt, both of Ephrata, and I arrived in the hunt area around 10:30 and spotted birds right away.

A hike around the main area produced 10 birds. We traveled to another area and shot five more. Another trip around the original area filled the three limits of 30 birds. We headed for home at 2:30. Life is good.
