The Bigfork Land Use Advisory Committee is taking applications from prospective committee members. Applicants must reside within the Bigfork zoning district and be registered voters in Flathead County.

Application forms are available at the Flathead County Planning office, 1035 First Ave. W. in Kalispell, or online at flathead.mt.gov. Forms must be filed by Feb. 7 and require signatures from five residents within the Bigfork Zoning District who are supportive of your participation.

The land-use advisory committee serves as a liaison between the Bigfork community and Flathead County for issues involving the Bigfork Neighborhood Plan, which includes 51 square miles around Bigfork. The committee reviews land-use applications impacting that area.

The Bigfork Land Use Advisory Committee is made up of seven residents — six elected members with three-year terms and one member at large appointed by the committee for a one-year term. Meetings are usually held the last Thursday of the month at Bethany Lutheran Church on Montana 35.

For further information, contact committee chairwoman Susan Johnson at 837-2459.
