ROYAL CITY — The Royal High girls got their second victory of the season over Wahluke, 31-25, at Royal last Saturday.

It was payback for the Knights, who were beaten soundly earlier on the Warrior floor. It left both teams with one SCAC win each.

The turning point came in the third quarter when Royal scored nine points while holding Wahluke to one.

“We played a complete game and finished down the stretch,” coach Phil Daubel said.

The Knights were led by the eight points of Samantha Dunn and six each by Jennifer Ledezma and Sophia Rodriguez.

Ledezma, Rodriguez and Bianca Castellon were terrors on the backboards, taking down 14, 12 and eight rebounds respectively.
