SANDPOINT — A Bonner County man waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday on lewd conduct and sexual abuse charges.

Steven John Kearl is scheduled for arraignment in 1st District Court on Feb. 16. He is being held at the Bonner County Jail in lieu of $100,000.

Kearl is accused of engaging in lewd conduct with a girl last summer, when she was 15 years old. He’s further accused of sexually abusing the teen and engaging in lewd conduct in 2014, according to charging papers.
