PLAINS – The Trotters gained a second victory, last week, after they defeated Charlo during an away game.
It was a slow game with neither team bringing in big points until the end. For the first half, things were close with both teams collecting only a handful of scores; the first quarter closed with a score of seven to six to Plains. In the second quarter, the Trotters pushed ahead as they kept the Charlo offense down. The girls racked in several points of their own, though, closing the first half with a score of 13-8 to Plains.
The second half opened with both teams playing at equal strength. They matched each other for scores, getting almost identical points. The Trotters continued to push ahead, though, and closed the quarter ahead in a score of 21-14.
In the final quarter, the teams exploded with renewed vigor as they fought to push for final points. The game continued to be close, but Plains was still on top and brought in more points. The game closed with a final score of 41-29.
