PLAINS – A recent study on rental insurance rates in Montana found that Plains is among the cheaper communities in the state to get a rental insured.

The study marked the community as 15th in the state for cheapest insurance rates. The study’s information stated the rate in Plains is approximately five percent lower than the state average; this is only four percentage points more than the lowest rates.

According to the information provided about the study, they examined quotes for a 1,000 square foot residence with $25,000 in personal property coverage and $100,000 in liability. They averaged the rates from five major cities in Western Montana to get a benchmark price for renter’s insurance. They then compared the results to other communities in the area.

“Our goal is to provide objective analysis to help guide you to the best decision,” states their website who did the study.
