SANDPOINT — A Post Falls man is pleading not guilty to a misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charge in connection with a deadly crash that claimed the life of a Bonner County woman last summer.

Alexander Craig Hjelt’s plea clears the way for a jury trial in Bonner County Magistrate Court on March 31. Hjelt’s defense counsel, Coeur d’Alene attorney Scot Nass, entered the plea on his client’s behalf on Wednesday, court records show.

Kathleen L. Ginter was fatally injured in the June 2, 2015, crash on U.S. Highway 95 at West Elmira Road.
