THOMPSON FALLS – After a close game, the Bluehawks came back from Libby with some good stats racked up.

The game was intense with both teams fighting hard. They both brought in double-digit scores in the first period, matching each other point for point. The quarter closed with Thompson Falls slightly ahead at a score of 13-11. The Bluehawks were able to push ahead in the second quarter, pushing the Logger’s defense away; their own defense was on top as well and they kept Libby from advancing much. The half ended with a score of 25-19.

Fortunes reversed as the third quarter began. The Loggers pushed ahead, keeping the Thompson Falls offense down; the Bluehawks kept close, though, and closed the quarter at 36-38. The final saw the teams playing neck and neck, each side gaining as many points as they could. Libby edged Thompson Falls out, though, and the game ended with a final score of 49-57 to the Loggers.

Tyler Riffle led the Bluehawks, scoring 16 points. Corey Tessier was a close second with 12 points contributed.
