SANDPOINT — Stephen Snedden has been chosen by Mayor Shelby Rognstad to fill the council seat that became vacant when Rognstad was elected as mayor. The council will vote on the appointment Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Snedden served on the council from 2008-2012. He did not run for re-election, opting to put his hat in the ring for the Idaho House of Representatives' District 1A seat. The seat was won by Heather Scott, R-Blanchard.
