Patricia Anne Marsh, loving wife, nurturing mom, wonderful friend, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 17, 2016, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She was born Patricia Anne Brown on Feb. 11, 1934, in Ontario, Ore., to Alvin and LaDelle Brown.

She attended Payette High School and the University of Idaho, where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority. There, she met Lloyd Marsh, a TKE next door, and in a short time they became pinned and married soon after graduation. Their married life together began in Pensacola, Fla., where Lloyd attended the Navy’s Officer’s Candidate School. From there they were transferred to Kansas where their first two children, Daniel and Teresa, were born, then to Hawaii where their second son, Thomas, made his arrival; and next, to Southern California, where youngest son, David, joined the family. Patricia was active in Navy Relief, a service organization that helps young families adjust to military life.

She was a full-time mother until she decided to return to college in her early 40s, earning a degree in nursing. She worked for Dr. Larry Gibbon in his private practice for many years.

She was an avid bowler and along with family, enjoyed many years with the local bowling league. She was very creative and enjoyed multiple hobbies. She loved to paint, knit and make crafts. She also enjoyed target practice at the gun range, but her first love was reading. Most days you could find her with a book — most often, a mystery. She loved her cats, most recently her Maine Coon “Max” and Scottish Fold “Wrath of Kahn.” She enjoyed having her family visits each week and was an avid Gonzaga Basketball fan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and LaDelle Brown of Payette, Idaho, and by husband, Lloyd. She is survived by sister Beverly; daughter Teresa (husband Steve); sons Danny, Tom (wife Lora) and David (wife Kim); nieces Colleen and Shannon; nephew Mike; granddaughters Jennifer and Rachelle; grandsons Morgan and Kyle; great-granddaughters Faye and Lilith; and great-grandsons Andrew and Eli.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden, Idaho, immediately followed by a reception. The graveside service is at 1 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery, 101 Lincoln Way, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. We hope you can join us.
