2016 Kootenai River Days are underway

BONNERS FERRY--The festivities on the 4th of July launched the start of 2016’s Kootenai River Days.

Thursday, the 7th, at Riverside Auto is the Rotary Grape and Barley walk, which is $40 to register; complete with a commemorative glass, wine or beer and appetizers. The United Methodist Church presents a family free movie night, Star Wars-The Force Awakens, at 5:45pm.

Friday, the 8th at 7pm the PRCA Rodeo returns to the Boundary County Fairgrounds for the weekend. Admission is $10 adults and $5 for children. Local team roping will also be going on.

Interested in a night of music, head over to the Pearl Theatre where Alameda Bradshaw is performing at 7:30pm.

Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children.

Saturday, downtown Bonners Ferry will be alive with a variety of items for the family. The SWISH Tournament takes over Main Street from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. ; there will also be vendors selling a variety of items. Farmer’s Market will be in the City Parking lot from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Boundary Tractor will host the Antique Tractor Show from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Riverside Auto Center will be hosting a VIP Sponsor Tent at 5 p.m..

Main Street comes alive again in the evening beginning at 6 p.m. with the T. Davis Memorial Arm Wrestling event.

Bounce houses for the youngsters will also be ready at 6 p.m.

6:30 p.m. Belly Dancers will be on Main Street. PRCA Rodeo will continue at the Fairgrounds at 7 p.m. Street Dance begins at 8 p.m. with Wastin’ Time Band.

The Kootenai Tribe of Idaho presents their Pow Wow July 29-31 at the Boundary County Fairgrounds.
