Lillian F. (Guth) Tamerler, 93, was gathered into the loving arms of Jesus Christ and reunited with her husband on July 8, 2016, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She was born July 18, 1922, in Wyomissing, Pa., to Sherman and Mabel Guth. Lillian grew up near Reading, Pa., and graduated in 1940 from Shillington High School in Shillington, Pa.
She married Robert F. Tamerler Sr. on April 2, 1949, and had three children: Robert F. Tamerler Jr., Timothy W. Tamerler and Lisa C. (Tamerler) Wheeler.
She worked for the state of Washington as an accounting clerk, first in Olympia, Wash., and later in Vancouver, Wash., until she retired in 1984. After retiring, Lillian and Bob enjoyed traveling full time in their RV across the country, seeing the sights and meeting family and friends along the way. They were married for 52 years until Bob’s passing in 2001. A few years later Lillian moved to Coeur d’Alene to be closer to her daughter.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Mabel Guth; brother Edward Guth; sister Elizabeth Miner; and husband Bob. She is survived by her sons, Robert F. Tamerler Jr. and wife Marge of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., Timothy W. Tamerler and wife Marya of League City, Texas; and daughter Lisa C. (Tamerler) Wheeler and husband Robert of Hayden, Idaho; sister Winifred Rossow of Olympia, Wash.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016, at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene. Her final resting place will be next to her husband at Mills & Mills Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 5725 Littlerock Road SW, Tumwater, Wash. The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2016, which would have been her 94th birthday.
