PRIEST RIVER — A true crime television show’s profile of the murder of Leslie Carlton Breaw at Priest Lake in 2007 is set to be shown on Thursday, Aug. 4.

“Rocky Mountain Murder” was produced for the Investigation Discovery Network’s “Deadly Sins” series, which is in its fifth season.

The episode, which is hosted by criminal behavior expert Darren Kavinoky, will delve into the death of Breaw, whose body was discovered in Coolin several months after he was reported missing.

Producers for the program were in Bonner County last year to record interviews with Bonner County Prosecutor Louis Marshall an Idaho State Police trooper and a Bonner County Daily Bee reporter.

Breaw was shot to death. His former tenants, Keith Allan Brown and his former wife, Tyrah, became suspects in the slaying after they decamped from Idaho around the time Breaw went missing. They were apprehended the former couple on a sailboat in Ft. Myers Beach, Fla., the day after Breaw’s body was discovered among some brush.

Keith Brown had variously argued he shot Breaw in self-defense and that Breaw was shot accidentally while the two struggled for control of a .22-caliber rifle.

The duo was charged with first-degree murder and grand theft for alleging stealing a $56,000 escrow check that belonged to Breaw.

Tyrah Brown ultimately pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and grand theft. She was released after serving a five-month sentence and subsequently divorced Keith Brown.

Keith Brown entered Alford pleas to voluntary manslaughter and accessory to grand theft, meaning he accepted nor moral responsibility for the crimes but conceded the state had enough evidence to gain convictions.

Brown appealed his convictions, although they were upheld by the Idaho Court of Appeals.

Brown, 55, is serving a 10- to 15-year prison term at the Idaho State Correctional Institution in Kuna. He becomes eligible for parole next year, according to the Idaho Department of Correction’s website.
