Three officers from Post Falls American Legion Post 143 were injured in a crash on Highway 95, just south of Plummer Saturday.
Ron Johnson, judge advocate for Post 143, confirmed the officers involved in the crash were Commander Dennis Wheeler, Vice Commander Doug Wheeler and Adjutant Chuck Buttz. All three were transported to Kootenai Health with injuries.
"As far as what injuries there are, at this point we do not know, we just hope that everybody is going to be fine," Johnson said Saturday afternoon.
Kim Anderson, spokeswoman for Kootenai Health, said Dennis and Doug were listed in "fair" condition and Buttz was listed in "good" condition as of 4 p.m. Saturday.
Idaho State Police confirmed Saturday that the crash occurred near milepost 385 around 11:45 a.m., but did not release any further details.
"Everybody is concerned," Johnson said, adding that operation at the post is "doing well" in the meantime.
American Legion Post 143 is the largest post in the state of Idaho with about 1,000 members. The three men were returning from the American Legion Department of Idaho State Convention in Moscow when the crash occurred.
