MOSES LAKE — A 29-year-old Moses Lake man was shot in the foot late Thursday night in Moses Lake.

The victim and a 25-year-old man reportedly walked past an unidentified group of three Hispanic males and two Hispanic females, whose ages ranged between 15 and 17, on West Broadway Avenue, according to police records. The 25-year-old man reportedly exchanged words with the five individuals.

About 30 minutes later the victim and witness walked back by the same group of people in the same area. Three older Hispanic men, in their late teens to early 20s, were reportedly standing next to a dark four-door passenger vehicle that was parked near a trailer park in the area.

The 25-year-old man who was with the victim reportedly exchanged words with the group of five individuals again and one of the men who was standing near the vehicle shot at him, a bullet striking the 29-year-old victim in his left foot. The victim was able to run to a nearby gas station, where he was contacted by police and emergency services. The victim’s gunshot wound did not appear to be life-threatening, according to Moses Lake police.

If you have information on the incident contact the Moses Lake Police Department at 509-764-3887.
