LETTER: We are at war
Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 8 years, 8 months AGO
The first thing to identify is who we are at war with. In a nine-page Homeland Security document dated April 7, 2009, Janet Napolitano defined Domestic Terrorists as veterans, right-wing extremists, pro-life, pro-gun and constitutional conservatives.
So let’s look at pictures of the Boston terrorists and San Bernadino and Orlando terrorists. They seem to resemble Arab men, followers of Islam, not the above definition. This must be wrong as we are told that Islam is a “religion of peace.”
But then you read this in the Quran:
“The punishment of those, who wage war against Allah and his messenger, is execution by beheading, or crucifixion, or the cutting off hands and feet from opposite sides.” (Quran 5:33)
“I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbeliever. Smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger tips off.” (Quran 8:12)
“Therefore, when you meet the unbelievers, strike off their heads.” (Quran 47:4)
It would appear to me that the enemy of our country is a religious ideology that is far from a religion of peace. If we don’t start calling it as it is, Islamic extremism, we will never be able to protect our nation. When was this last terrorist an 80-year-old, white-haired grandmother using a walker? We have succumbed to a liberal progressive political correctness that will kill many more Americans if we don’t change the way we approach this war. ISIS and other radical Islamic terror groups are the enemy.
We need to start profiling these people, infiltrating their mosques and neighborhoods. Presently, the FBI can’t investigate Muslim neighborhoods, mosques, and the internet for Muslims. The phrase Muslim extremist has been removed by this administration from all FBI documents. Who is really on the terrorist watch lists? Look up Countering Violent Extremism. We are never going to be able to address this threat until we see it for what it is.
