MOSERS LAKE — The Early Learning Action Alliance (ELAA) has selected Rep. Tom Dent of Moses Lake to receive an Early Learning Emerging Leader Award.
ELAA presents awards to legislators every two years to highlight the importance of legislative leadership in the area of early learning.
In a note to the representative, ELAA Policy Director Jennifer Jennings-Shaffer said Dent’s “commitment to advancing policies and funding early learning over the past two years has been crucial for Washington’s children and families.”
Dent serves as the assistant ranking member of the House Early Learning and Human Services Committee. He also serves on the Early Learning Advisory Council.
‘I’m truly grateful to the Early Learning Action Alliance for this award,’ said Dent. “Having the opportunity to work with my colleagues to develop effective early-learning programs is a privilege.”
