Ruth M. Trush, 89, passed away on Dec. 3, 2015, at her home in Lynnwood, Washington.

 Ruth was born in Chicago to Norbert and Elsa Rincker on Nov. 4, 1926. She married her husband of 61 years, Charles Trush, on Jun. 18, 1949, and upon completion of his military service they moved to Kalispell and raised their family. In 1980 they left Kalispell for Malta, followed in 1982 by a move to Alaska in 1982, where they resided until retiring to Lynnwood in 2008.

Ruth was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kalispell, faithfully shepherding her family along the way. She continued her journey in Alaska at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church for many years.

Ruth enjoyed the many adventures she shared with Charles, her family and friends, be it skiing on Big Mountain, hiking Glacier Park or their many adventures with the Alaska Pioneers club.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 2011.

She is survived by daughters Amy Henry of Wasilla, Alaska, Gayle and Brian Bourke of Rancho Mirage, California; sons David and Annie of Lynnwood, Paul and Allison of Wasilla, and John of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren Nathan, Alina and Jason Henry, Hayden, Boone and Bennett Bourke, and Danielle, Brandon and Paxton Trush; great-grandchildren Killey and Taylor Henry; sister Judy, and brothers William and John.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 30 at Lone Pine State Park visitors center near Kalispell.
