Bernie backers boost Plan B

The presumptive nominees of the Democratic and Republican parties are the most unpopular in history!
In a June ABC News/Washington Post poll, 70 percent of Americans viewed Donald Trump unfavorably and 55 percent viewed Hillary Clinton unfavorably.
The majority of Americans want other choices for president. In a 5/18 Data Targeting poll, 55 percent of Americans said they would favor an independent challenger to Clinton and Trump.
Jill Stein’s Green Party campaign is gaining momentum at an extraordinary rate. This is despite only having a fraction of the money and media coverage available to Clinton and Trump. In a 6/21 CNN poll, 7 percent of voters said they would vote for Jill Stein.
Her goals run neck and neck with Bernie Sanders and her momentum is building exponentially. Even though Hillary is talking the Bernie talk, most believe she will not be doing the Bernie walk when elected. She simply isn’t trusted by 67 percent of the people in this country.
Jill Stein believes the college debt that has hamstrung the majority of our young people should be forgiven. This can only be done through Congress. The only way Congress can forgive this debt is through an executive order by the president.
Jill Stein will do just that if elected president. This makes the goal a reality. If every young, strapped college student voted for Jill Stein in the general election, that in itself would put her over the top to beat Hillary and Trump. Here are just a few of her goals (and have been for years):
• Climate Change: Lead on a global treaty to halt climate change. End destructive energy extraction: fracking, tar sands, offshore drilling, oil trains, mountaintop removal, and uranium mines. Protect our public lands, water supplies, biological diversity, parks, and pollinators. Label GMOs, and put a moratorium on GMOs and pesticides until they are proven safe. Protect the rights of future generations.
• Health Care: Establish an improved “Medicare For All” single-payer public health insurance program to provide everyone with quality health care, at huge savings.
• The Economy: Set a $15/hour federal minimum wage. Break up “too-big-to-fail” banks and democratize the Federal Reserve. Support development of worker and community cooperatives and small businesses. Make Wall Street, big corporations, and the rich pay their fair share of taxes. Create democratically run public banks and utilities. Replace corporate trade agreements with fair trade agreements.
Google Jill Stein to learn more, but most importantly, remember: It is always the right time to do the right thing. You don’t have to feel like you’re being funneled into a vote you do not want to make.
Choose the greater good, not the lesser evil.
