'Opera on a Summer's Eve' returns to the JACC

The third annual “Opera on a Summer’s Eve” concert fundraiser for the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center will take place Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 7:30 p.m.
The performance will feature Italian opera and traditional Italian songs as well as show tunes sung by world-class opera singers. As an added attraction, Mateusz Wolski, concertmaster of the Spokane Symphony and international concert violinist, will join sopranos Christina Kowalski and Dawn Wolski; tenor, Christopher Pfund; and baritone, Max Mendez accompanied by David Demand on the grand piano. Marlo Faulkner returns as Master of Ceremonies. Michael McGivney is lighting director.
Tickets are $40/adults, $35/seniors, military and students (with ID). Tickets are available at thejacklincenter.org or by calling (208) 457-8950. The JACC is located at 405 North Williams St. in Post Falls where there is ample free parking. Hors d’ouvres and drinks will be available in the lobby before the concert and at intermission.
The premier sponsor for the second year in a row is Knudtsen Chevrolet. Premier performer underwriter is Caroline Crollard with major support from Charles and Dorothy Clock, William Ladner, and Susan and Duane Jacklin.
