Firefighters from Smith Valley, South Kalispell, Bigfork and Marion begin making laps in their gear on Sunday afternoon, July 31, at Legends Stadium. The walk was a fund raiser for the Smith Valley Fire Department after the fire that destroyed the Foy’s Lake Station. According to Smith Valley Fire Chief DC Hass the community has been very generous in the aftermath of the fire. “The public support has been very humbling, ” said Haas. “And the neighboring departments have been amazing.” (Brenda Ahearn/Daily Inter Lake)
