MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake man was arrested after allegedly stealing a bandana from a vehicle in Moses Lake on Memorial Day and brandishing a pistol toward the theft victim.

The victim in the alleged incident told police he was at a gas station on Patton Boulevard about 3:40 p.m. on Monday and his blue bandana was stolen out of his vehicle by Saul Olivares, 27, of Moses Lake, according to police records. Olivares and two other men, identified as George Rodriguez, 22, of Moses Lake, and Michael Montejano, 25, of Moses Lake, reportedly waited for the victim to drive away.

Olivares reportedly waved the stolen blue bandana at the victim. The victim told police Olivares had a pistol “showing” in his waistband when he, the victim, drove by. The vehicle in which the three suspects were in was eventually stopped by police and a gun was reportedly seen under the front passenger seat wrapped in a red bandana.

Olivares, Rodriguez and Montejano were booked into the Grant County Jail. Olivares was booked for vehicle prowl, theft, brandishing a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm. Rodriguez was booked for unlawful possession of a firearm and a Department of Corrections violation. Montejano was booked for a DOC violation.
