COEUR d'ALENE — In North Idaho, the giving just keeps on giving.

Members of Cancer and Community Charities, known as the 3Cs, will be welcoming supporters, guests and community members alike to share in a delightful day of brunch at Duane and Lola Hagadone's Casco Bay home July 26.

The Garden Party will include a boat cruise, garden tour and brunch compliments of the Hagadones. All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the 3Cs, a charitable organization of women volunteers who spend each year raising money for nonprofits throughout Kootenai County.

"I am ecstatic about it," said 3Cs publicity chair Marcia Saunders. "We are thrilled."

Longtime 3Cs member Angela Cross, who serves as chair of the 3Cs ways and means fundraising branch, said it has been about four years since the organization had an event at the Hagadone estate.

"We do have such a wonderful time over there, wandering around and going under the house," she said. "People who go to this are so impressed to be able to go over there."

The 22,000-square-foot Casco Bay home boasts countless waterfalls, plants, flowers and rolling green grass as far as the eye can see. Garden Party guests will be treated to a full-service brunch and will have opportunities to stroll the grounds and enjoy the scenery.

"How I truly feel is that Duane Hagadone has done so much for Kootenai County and elsewhere. We appreciate it a lot," Cross said. "Without him, this town would not be where it is. I think he should always be appreciated for what he does. He is so giving. How many people are willing to do this?"

All are welcome to attend the Garden Party. Tickets are $50 each, tax deductible. The ship boards at The Coeur d'Alene Resort Dock at 9:30 a.m., sails at 10 a.m. and returns at 1 p.m.
