LAW ROUNDUP: Deputy warns couple to keep it down

Flathead County Sheriff’s Deputies told a couple on Columbia Range Drive that they needed to quiet down or face charges after a neighbor complained that the pair drunkenly scream a lot.
A deputy advised a man against taking a former employee’s truck and other property into his possession as repayment after the man allegedly walked off a job and did not return. The boss claimed that the employee owed him $40,000 in services. The deputy told the boss he should get an attorney to sort the mess out.
A deputy investigated after four children who appeared to the caller to be fourth-graders rode by on bicycles, threw a rock, and allegedly damaged the caller’s car. The deputy documented the damage and tried to locate the suspects.
Authorities had “lots of paperwork” to fill out after deputies and Montana Highway Patrolmen were sent to an alleged underage “kegger” party on Flathead Mine Road.
A woman at a business on Highway 2 in Hungry Horse allegedly admitted to taking $280 from a wallet that a woman left on a restroom sink. The alleged thief apologized and returned the money. The owner did not want to pursue charges.
A Columbia Falls man wanted a deputy to come take photos of bloody hand prints on his door as evidence in a case where his father had shot a neighbor’s dog last week. A deputy logged a report.
A house was ransacked on Maple Drive outside of Kalispell, and a gun was allegedly taken.
Columbia Falls Police took a report from Darlene Road, where someone allegedly drove through a fence, but did not stick around to notify the resident living in a nearby home that a crash had occurred.
Officers arrested a man on Sixth Street West who was wanted on a $25,000 warrant for felony assault on a peace officer, possession of dangerous drugs and driving under the influence of alcohol.
A person reported that his or her bank account had been charged for unauthorized transactions originating out of Kalispell and Whitefish.
Whitefish Police helped a woman retrieve a diamond ring and passport from a residence where she had been renting a room. The woman said she told her landlord that she planned to seek alternative housing arrangements and the man allegedly “blew up” at her and made her feel unsafe.
A man on West Eighth Street found drug paraphernalia under his truck and had a suspicion it might have been related to the fact that his neighbor was arrested two days previously.
Kalispell Police responded to West Idaho Street where a woman reported that a 28-year-old man had allegedly said that he would like to come in to work and shoot people or beat people with a baseball bat. Parties were counseled.
A man on Second Avenue West was counseled after he allegedly sprayed his neighbor’s dog with water as it was kenneled on its own property. The dog had been barking, according to its owner.
A woman called from West Idaho Street to report that she received a note from her friend’s Facebook page claiming that they were both winners of $150,000. The woman’s friend said that she had not sent the message. Apparently the account had been hacked by a scammer.
An officer deployed a Taser to subdue a subject on North Meridian Road, after the officer responded to a call about a man living out of his vehicle in a parking lot for a month. The officer found that the man had a $25,000 outstanding felony arrest warrant for driving under the influence of alcohol.
