Eunice Estelle Hiseler, 105, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, “went home to be with her Lord and Savior” on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Heritage Place in Kalispell.

She was born April 8, 1911, in Summit, New Jersey, to Frederick and Ethel Bohl. She was the fifth of six children. At age 5, she would sit down and play by ear the hymns she had heard at church. Eunice put her faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ while under the preaching of evangelist Charles Winters. She was 9 years old. When the evangelist gave an invitation to come to the Lord for the saving of her soul, she ran down the aisle because she was so convicted of her sin and her need of a Savior.

She met her future husband, Clyde, at the First Baptist Church in Millburn, New Jersey. They were married on Nov. 7, 1936. They had three sons and one daughter. Eunice opened up their home for Children’s Bible Club on Thursday afternoons. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was also a pianist and organist at the various churches that the family attended. They lived in Millburn for 38 years.

She and Clyde moved to Kalispell in 1974 to a new home constructed by two of their sons. She enjoyed sewing, painting, playing the piano, and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After 67 years of marriage, Clyde “went to be with his Lord” in October of 2003.

Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband and her eldest son.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Doris Clogston, and husband, John, of Morgantown, Pennsylvania; son, Jim, and his wife, Sharon, of North Carolina; son, Tom, and wife, Lynn, of Kalispell; her grandchildren, Kim Denton and husband John of Apple Way, Minnesota, Tom Hiseler of Kalispell, Jennifer Kozlik and husband Michael of Underhill, Vermont, Kelli Hartley and husband Jason of Kila, Jayme Ferry and husband Tim of Hamilton, New Jersey, James Hiseler Jr. of North Carolina, Katelyn Johnson and husband Tim of North Carolina, and Ashley Hiseler of New Jersey. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Alesha, Seth, Nathan, Anna, Sebastian, McKenzie, Tucker, Hayley and Cole.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on June 9 at the Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. June 10 at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Don Bergstrom officiating. After the graveside at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery, there will be a reception at Eunice’s home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be sent to Grace Baptist Church, 1385 Columbia Falls Stage, Columbia Falls.
