The Lt. George Farragut Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will host a breakfast benefit Saturday in Coeur d’Alene to support local veterans projects.

The chapter will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8-10 a.m. at Applebee’s, 280 W. Hanley Ave. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, juice and coffee, all served with smiles from DAR servers. Tickets are $10 at the door. No credit or debit cards.

This is the fifth time in as many years that the chapter has hosted this event. This year the chapter voted that all proceeds would benefit local benefit projects including Honor Flight, Newby-Ginnings and Cowgirls and Warriors.

Membership in Daughters of the American Revolution is open to any woman 18 or older who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. Lt. George Farragut Chapter meets the third Friday of the month, September through May. Anyone interested in DAR may call Jane at 457-8531 for additional details.
