The Polson FC U14 girls soccer team played in the 3 Blind Refs tournament in Kalispell this last weekend. The first game was against LFC of Lethbridge, Alberta. Polson won this game 3-1, Maggie Todd got the first goal off an assist from Sophia Moderie. Ellie Maddy scored the other two goals for Polson.

The second game was against Valley Thunder from Lewiston, Idaho. Polson lost this game 2-1. Ellie Maddy scored Polson’s goal off a long punt from Megan Rost, who was playing keeper.

The next game was a semi finals game vs #1 seed (and eventual tournament champion) Academy, from Hayden, Idaho. Polson kept it close and played tough for the most of the game but allowed two goals late in the game and lost 4-1. Sophia Moderie scored the Polson goal from an assist by Ellie Maddy.

Megan Rost played all three games at keeper for Polson, doing a great job stopping some hard shots from the opposing teams and kicking some massive punts downfield.

Next weekend Polson travels to Great Falls for the State Cup tournament and will play games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
