Person takes a bite out of crime

A man who smelled like marijuana allegedly walked into a South Main Street business with blood on his shirt and arm. The man claimed he was bitten by a person according to Kalispell Police Department.
Police responded to a three-vehicle accident on U.S. 93 North. One vehicle was hit from behind, which in turn hit the vehicle in front of it. One person requested medical help for back and neck pain.
An irritated woman on Liberty Street called police to tell them she was upset officers did not contact her after checking out a report that kids were lighting fires in a basketball court. The woman said she found a receipt for basketballs, paid for by a credit card, at the location and believed the kids had set basketballs on fire causing them to explode. While officers saw a dark mark they didn’t find any damage or torched basketballs.
Someone on Fourth Avenue West told police there was suspicious activity going on at another house when he or she reported seeing people in the house bagging things up and then putting the bags in an alley where someone else picked them up.
A woman was having trouble backing out of her driveway on Underhill Court purportedly because a vehicle, with four flat tires, was partially parked on the street and her yard.
A neighbor was upset by loud yelling and people banging on a car on Ninth Street East. Officers were advised that it was an argument between a mother and son. The neighbor was upset because it was allegedly an ongoing issue.
A friendly dog just wanted to cool off when it kept running back into a water park despite employees’ attempts to put him outside the facilities.
A wallet containing $180 was stolen from a gym bag in an unlocked locker on First Avenue West.
A mother in east Kalispell told officers her husband called and told her to pick up “the kids because they were at grandma’s house and grandma was freaking out.” When she arrived to pick up the kids she reported her husband “got in her face and was yelling and screaming and freaking out,” as well.
About six people were reportedly fighting on Whitefish Stage Road.
Someone found a 5-year-old boy who allegedly ran away and said “his mom is mean to him.” The boy was returned to his parents.
Someone thought they heard glass shattering on Second Street East. A raccoon spotted in the area may have been the culprit.
Two women were seen punching each other at a bar. Other bar patrons intervened, restraining the women on the ground.
Someone’s tires were slashed on Woodland Park Drive.
A potentially intoxicated man on West Reserve Drive was seen urinating on a light pole.
A woman suspected a transient was living in her attic based on data from her alarm system.
A possibly intoxicated man seen stumbling around was allegedly trying to start fights on First Avenue East North.
A wallet was reported stolen from a backpack on 13th Street West according to Columbia Falls Police Department.
Three girls were caught shoplifting on Ninth Street West and released to their parents.
A mother on 13th Street West was concerned for her children who played in the area when a female on a dirt bike was seen riding back and forth “at extremely high speeds” on Martha Road.
A woman on East Third Street was not happy when “street people,” who were reportedly asking for money and playing loud music, responded negatively when she told them they should move along. While they didn’t harass her or use profanity the woman told Whitefish Police Department she thought they should be moved along. The “street people” were advised of the city’s panhandling ordinance.
A man sleeping next to a sidewalk on U.S. 93 South told officers he was waiting for a ride and fell asleep. Later on, an employee from a U.S. 93 South business told a transient, believed to be the same man, to leave multiple times, but he had refused to do so.
Someone called police because a man on East Lakeshore Drive was banging on his or her door and saying he wanted in.
Ferndale Volunteer Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident at Mile Marker 76 on the Swan Highway. The person who called 911 reported that the driver appeared to be uninjured.
