Alice T. Boni, 91

Alice T. Boni, 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 6, 2016, in Mukilteo, Wash., her home for the past four years. Alice was born Aug. 16, 1924, in Rycroft, Alberta. Alice, her two brothers, and their parents, Emanuel and Nancy Zahara, were hardworking farmers.

Alice graduated from the Calgary General Hospital as a registered nurse in 1949. She worked at Calgary General, the old Lake City General in Coeur d’Alene, Kootenai Memorial in Coeur d’Alene and Sacred Heart in Spokane.

Her husband of 61 years, William Boni, and her beloved son, Ken Boni (58), preceded her in death in 2012. Her older brother, William Zahara, preceded her in death in 2012. We lost all three within three months of each other. Alice moved to Mukilteo in June 2012.

Alice is survived by David Zahara (brother); Nancy Johnson (daughter); four grandchildren, Jason Boni and Jami Principi of Idaho, and Joel Boni and Allyson Johnson of Washington. Alice had six great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
