ANNIVERSARIES
Glenn and Edna Baum
70th Anniversary
Glenn and Edna Baum, of Hayden, are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.
Glenn worked at the Atomic Energy Commission at the University of California in Berkley, Calif. Edna worked as a Bank of America Bank teller in Concord, Calif., and doctor office manager in Coeur d’Alene. They are both retired.
Their children are Mike Baum of Coeur d’Alene and Patti Goodman of La Quinta, Calif. (winter) and Coeur d’Alene (summer). They have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
William ‘Bill’ and Susan Radobenko
25th Anniversary
Bill and Susan were married on June 15, 1991, at the First Methodist Church in Coeur d’Alene. They started this journey they are on as junior high sweethearts.
They recently celebrated with friends on a trip to Mexico. They will celebrate with their boys, Nick and Brandon Radobenko and other family members in Coeur d’Alene.
Bill and Susan are longtime residents of Dalton Gardens. Bill is president of ACI Northwest and Susan enjoys her time spent with friends and family.
They both love the outdoors and enjoy weekends getting away in their Volkswagen bus.
Their family wishes them much love and happiness on this special day.
EDUCATION
Joseph H. Schwalbach, Lakeland High School class of 2012, son of Joe and Kris Schwalbach of Rathdrum, graduated with his B.A., Magna Cum Laude from Whitworth University on May 22, 2016. He double majored in finance and business management and minored in accounting. He has been hired by Pinkerton Retirement Specialists in Coeur d’Alene. Soli Deo Gloria.
MILITARY
Lieutenant Brett Burnside, of Coeur d’Alene, earned his silver Air Force wings and was honored as the Outstanding Officer and Distinguished Graduate during graduation ceremonies from Under-graduate Pilot Training (UPT) at Laughlin Air Force Base on April 29, 2016. During the ceremony, Lt. Burnside was also presented the Commander’s Daedalian trophy and the top aviator award for his squadron.
Lt. Burnside has been selected to compete to fly in the USAF’s F-35 Lightning II program. He will be one of 10 pilots competing for six initial slots in the new F-35 program. He will begin the initial stages of the program at Randolph AFB in late August.
Burnside is a Coeur d’Alene native and a 2010 graduate of Coeur d’Alene High School. He is the son of Suzanne Endsley (Shaun) and Tim Burnside (Shannon). He earned his bachelor’s degree in systems engineering for aeronautics from the United States Air Force Academy in 2014.
