Yvonne Joy Ward, 61, was born in Kalispell on Nov. 18, 1954, to Raymond and Doris Ingram, and passed away on June 5, 2016, in Bigfork.

Yvonne was raised and attended grade school in Swan Lake. When Yvonne was younger she liked to ride horses and spend time at the lake. She then attended Bigfork High School and graduated in 1972 where she met her future husband, William Ward.

Yvonne made lifelong friends with a close-knit group of friends that would be her support when she moved back to Bigfork. She enjoyed getting together to play card games or going out to dinner with the girls. Soon after she was married, she and William began to move around the United States for his job, and finally settled in the state of Washington with their children, Jenn, Lindsay and Patrick.

Yvonne loved to read and spend her summers at the lake with family and friends. She was a beloved wife, mother, ‘Nana’ and friend. Yvonne’s favorite thing was to spend time with her grandchildren and her mom.

Yvonne was preceded by her husband William Ward in 2013, and her father Raymond Ingram in 2014.

Yvonne is survived by her mom, Doris Ingram, of Bigfork; her sister, Elaine Ingram, of Kalispell; brothers, Les Ingram of Bigfork, and Doug Ingram of Ogden, Utah; children, Jenn Ward of Vancouver, Washington, Lindsay Derby of Brush Prairie, Washington, and Patrick Ward of Bigfork; and grandchildren, Holland and Marshall Derby of Brush Prairie, and Trey Taylor of Vancouver.

Her celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. June 18 at her home, 11360 Highway 83, Bigfork.
