Alphonse A. LaBere, 87, was born in Ray, North Dakota, Jan. 22, 1929, to Alphonse A. Sr. and Sylvia (Hartsoch) LaBere.

He passed away in Kalispell at home on June 11, 2016.

Alphonse was raised in North Dakota until 1959 and then came to Kalispell with his family. He worked as a millwright for 26 years, then retiring and teaching oil painting — a man of many talents and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his eldest son, first wife, and many uncles and aunts.

He is survived by his wife Darlene, son Brad, daughters Connie and Coraine, brothers Lawrence and Richard, and sister Velois, and all their families.

His celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, at Easthaven Baptist Church on Whitefish Stage Road.

He will be missed by many.
