An Oregon couple have denied stealing more than $30,000 in items from a home on Prairie View Road in Kalispell and taking the loot back to Oregon.

Baltimore Leon Carper, 35, pleaded not guilty in Flathead District Court on Thursday to one count of felony burglary and one count of felony theft.

His wife, Amanda Renee Carper, 29, pleaded not guilty to one felony count of accountability to burglary.

The Carpers are accused of stealing more than $30,000 from a relative on April 17. The pair allegedly were caught with the stolen goods in Wallowa County, Oregon.

More than 20 guns, a trailer, electronics, tools, and other items were recovered, but Oregon officials said they did not think all stolen items were recovered. Officers also allegedly found meth in the vehicle the Carpers were using to transport the goods.

The Carpers have been charged with more than 20 felonies in Oregon in addition to the Flathead County charges.

Flathead District Judge Robert Allison and prosecutor John Donovan agreed to let the Carpers travel back to their home in Oregon for the purposes of employment and retrieving property as long as the pair provide written notice of when and where they will travel.
