Eric Kemper does well at Toppenish swim meet

TOPPENISH — After a short two weeks of training Unattached USA swimmer Eric Kemper, of Moses Lake, traveled to Toppenish to participate in the 2016 Wine Country swim meet.

Kemper placed in the top nine of the eight events he swam, and swam for best times in two of the events even after obtaining best times in those events just two weeks earlier.

Eric placed first in two events; the 200 individual medley, and in the 200 butterfly with a best time of 2:27.85. He took third in three events; the 200 freestyle, 400 individual medley, and the 100BK for a best time of 1:13.47. Kemper took fourth in the 400 freestyle, eighth in the 200 BR, and ninth in the 100 BR.

Kemper will take a month off of competition to train for the Inland Empire Championship meet that will be held in Tri Cities at the end of July.
