Kris Jackson
Bend Elks
Jackson, a former Lakeland High standout, struck out six and walked two for the Elks in a combined no-hitter on June 8, beating Corvallis 6-0 in a West Coast League game in Bend. Jackson combined with Logan Hatley for the feat, the first no-hitter in team history. Jackson recently completed his sophomore year at Chemeketa Community College, finishing the season 5-1 with a 2.01 earned run average in 58 innings. Jackson struck out 40 battters and walked 19 this season in 19 appearances.
Nick Nyquist

Nyquist, an infielder from Coeur d’Alene High and Gonzaga, drove in the go-ahead run for the Sweets (8-8) in a 1-0 win against the Kitap Blue Jackets on Tuesday in Walla Walla. Walla Walla is part of the West Coast League, a collegiate summer baseball league.

Carr, a junior from Lakeland High, was named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester. To be honored, a student must have completed nine credit hours during the semester and compile a grade point average of 3.75 or higher.

Maryon, a senior from Lake City High, was named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester. To be honored, a student must have completed nine credit hours during the semester and compile a grade point average of 3.75 or higher.
Kyle Johnson
Binghamton Mets
Johnson, a left fielder from Lake City High and Washington State, has appeared in 50 games this season, splitting time in the New York Mets organization at Double-A Binghamton and Triple-A Las Vegas this season. At Las Vegas, Johnson went 13 for 45 with four doubles and eight RBIs in 13 games.
With Binghamton, Johnson is 27 for 126 (.214 average) with nine RBIs and one home run.
Drew Turbin
Delmarva Shorebirds
Turbin, a second baseman from Coeur d’Alene High, had six doubles in 54 games for the Delmarva Shorebirds, a full season Class-A team in the the Baltimore Orioles organization. On the season, Turbin has two home runs and 16 runs batted in.
